Reflection (Motion)

1. The best shot I got was the first shot, which was slow shutter. I loved how I changed the color and I really like how it's shaped like a fan.
2. My weakest shot was honestly both of my fast shutter pieces. They're like copies of each other and there's not much uniqueness with them, so I don't like them at all.
3. My weakest shots can be improved if I added more unique content to it so that they can be more different from each other.
4. I used Photoshop to edit. I used levels, hue & saturation, and color balance.
5. I was able to meet the objectives by taking shots that resemble stop motion and shots that look more blurry and add more to the shots.
6. What was easy was editing my slow shutter shots because the more vibrant I made them, the more the blurry lights pop out to me.
7. What was hard was getting the shots for slow shutter. I don't really understand how to handle professional cameras, so I tried searching for a good enough app on my phone, which was its own challenge.
8. If I could do this assignment again, I would find more things to take pictures of outside of school to have more variety to my project.
9. I would rate this project a 4 mainly because there isn't enough variety and it was 100% a struggle for me to get shots of both slow and fast shutter outside of school without help.

Reflection (Depth of Field)

1. The best shot is my first shot. The way that it focuses only on the part of the sink makes it stand out, unlike the stuff in the background.
2. My weakest shot is my last one. I didn't understand high depth that much, so I kind of rushed my last to get my project in.
3. My weakest shot can be improved by taking more time on it and putting a little more focus on the chair and shelf in the background.
4. I used Photoshop to edit my photos. The tools I used were Levels, Hue & Saturation, and Color Balance.
5. I was able to meet the objective by taking two shots that focused on an object in the front while blurring out the background objects and the complete opposite with the last two shots.
6. What was easy was doing low depth because it was clear on what I had to do, since I only had to focus on one object.
7. What was difficult was getting a clear understanding on the differences of low depth and high depth. I kind of didn't know what I was doing with high depth, so I always and to look up references to get a clear idea.
8. If I could do this assignment again, I would try to ask the teacher more questions instead of thinking I knew what I was doing (which is clearly not true without help).
9. I would rate my performance a 7 because my low depth, in my opinion, is pretty decent. The only thing dragging down the number is my high depth, which I feel like is the worst part of my performance.

Reflection (Backlighting)

1. My best shot is the first one. The positioning and the black and white colors make the picture seem eerie and creepy. The two people in the picture really look like they're both one scary monster thing.
2. My weakest shot is the second one. I didn't really like the position I was in when I took it, since it was taken from the side. The colors are fine, but it just looks blurry, in my opinion (but others can disagree, I don't know).
3. My weakest shot can be improved if I just moved to a front view so it doesn't look slanted and the angle wouldn't look so "off."
4. I used Photoshop to edit my shots. I used the hue/saturation tool and the levels tools.
5. I was able to meet the objectives of this assignment by taking over 30 pictures, posting 2 of my best shots, and using backlighting to my advantage to make creepy photos.
6. What was easy was the editing. I enjoy editing my photos I take outside of school and making them black and white, so I already knew how to do so. I also already am aware of how to work the hue/saturation, since I've done it multiple times before I took this class in general.
7. What was difficult was getting the right backlighting to make it look good. I'm very picky with lighting, so I was difficult to find good lighting at home. So, I just stuck with what I had in class.
8. If I could do this assignment again, I would try to find better ways to get lighting using my resources at home better. I felt like I just gave up doing it at home because I act like a perfectionist all the time. I need to get out of that habit.
9. On a scale of 1-10, I would give this a solid 6. Although it came out decent when I edited my shots, I felt like I didn't put as much effort in it like in my texture project. I just wanted to take whatever shots I could and stick to them. I didn't really care as much and I think that was my downfall in this project.

Do Now- Ansel Adams

Ansel Adam does landscape photography. He probably brings out the textures of objects by editing and using different angles. In my opinion, I'm a sucker for landscapes in photography, so I absolutely adore the photos. I love how there's only black and white in the photos and how the textures really pop out to me. It's really beautiful shots, honestly. This person is really talented in what they do and I can tell he has a lot of passion for it. It seems like he puts a lot of hard work into what he does.
